They are available like all other exchanges of this type, which is a broker-based agency system. Sharp Exchange is modeled on Orbit and doesn’t dodge that. Already on the homepage you can find slogans related to the information that Sharp Exchange is an alternative to Orbit, they don’t hide this and you can see that they will advertise themselves as an alternative to the largest exchange powered by Betfair markets. Can this young white label site really be considered a strong point in the market? We will try to analyze all available information about Sharp Exchange.
Access to Sharp Exchange
An account with Sharp Exchange can only be created by opening an account with one of the brokers (direct registration is not possible). Once the account has been created, you can select the exchange as one of the options available from the agents and obtain a private Sharp Exchange account. You can do this immediately or at a later time from the control panel in your brokerage account.
Sharp Exchange is currently available at the two brokers mentioned above, Madmarket and BetInAsia. In both cases, Sharp is configured in exactly the same way. You are anonymous to Sharp Exchange, so you can have two accounts on this exchange through both brokers (if you need to). Sharp Exchange is an exchange whose markets are powered by Betfair. On top of that, they are very much modeled on Orbit Exchange. For players who already have some experience in using this type of platform, it will not be a problem to use their offer. It’s just practically the same as it is on white label sites. Sharp Exchange offers a long list of available sports to bet on, we can bet on football, horse racing, basketball, ice hockey, rugby, dart, tennis, esports, American soccer, baseball and many other sports, among others. The minimum bet for all sports and events is €10. Odds and liquidity are the same as at Betfair. The sports pre-match as well as live betting offer is also almost the same. The commission is lower than at Orbit Exchange and amounts to 2,75%.
Sharp Exchange is a very young exchange and it’s hard to draw conclusions about their services yet. Certainly, it can be considered that the funds deposited on the exchange should be safe, as it is operated by the secure broker BetInAsia. However, we will be able to see how it all works from a technical point of view after some more time of operation and testing of this exchange by us, as well as from players’ opinions on it. Despite the fact that they are modeling themselves after Orbit Exchange and want to be an alternative, it may be hard because of Orbit long-standing high standing and reputation among players around the world. However, another white label exchange on the market is highly desirable, and although the abandonment of Orbit may be detrimental to BetInAsia, the emergence of Sharp Exchange instead may be beneficial to players who still have access to Orbit at other brokers, but also have an alternative.
