If you are a betting player who is interested in person to person betting then you have surely heard about Betdaq betting exchange. This exchange has been on the market for a very long time. It was founded in 2000. Its creator was Dermont Desmont. Interestingly, the creator of the exchange sold it in 2013 to the British giant Ladbrokers, only to buy it back again in 2021. The company is headquartered in Dublin, Ireland. The exchange is licensed in Ireland, licensed by the UKGC and licensed by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission. Due to various unavailable statistics, it is difficult to know the exact size of the stock market. However, from a number of available data, and from analysis of the data, it appears that Betdaq is currently the second largest exchange with the most liquidity, right after Betfair. One can come across calculations saying that it has a high share of more than 7% of the total market. The exchange offers access to markets for soccer, American soccer, horse racing, baseball, basketball, darts, cricket, ice hockey, rugby, tennis and others. Live markets are also available. Betdaq has a large number of followers, influenced in part by its low commission, lower than that of the market’s biggest giant, Betfair. Betdaq currently charges a commission of 2%. The site is recognized for its market share and history, but the company has also sponsored various sports clubs in the past. Among them is English club Sunderland AFC. Still, the company is not in the mainstream betting market.
One of the problems with the Betdaq exchange is country restrictions. Due to licensing requirements in the UK, players from the UK, Ireland, Giblartar and Jersey can register directly with Betdaq. Not surprisingly, the company has partnerships with two major betting brokers. Access to Betdaq’s markets through brokers increases coverage to most locations around the world. This is definitely a win-win for everyone. The exchange has much more liquidity than without it and players have access to Betdaq’s great markets and low commissions on advanced brokerage platforms. It is a win-win situation for everyone. Once we select a broker, the available markets will appear to us on the rate aggregation platforms.
On my brokerage account the Betdaq markets option is always active. Despite the fact that, for the most part, I place classic bets, Bedaq’s odds are sometimes so competitive that it happens that the odds for the event I am interested in are with them. Betdaq markets are an added value for brokers increasing their attractiveness to the player. Arbitrage players are accepted and the exchange is sometimes used by arbitrage betting players. As said, Betdaq may not be in the mainstream, but it is a completely safe and very useful option whether for a betting player, arber or a person who likes to bet with other people. It is not the main flagship option on a brokerage account, but we positively consider the ability to access the exchange, so that such a good market is not just limited to the UK.
